Eco Suites Uxlabil Guatemala
We chose this address for its quiet corner of Zona 10 and a design that...
Guatemala City rewards travelers who look up, and few addresses make the case as literally as this one. Vista Quince rises above the quiet, leafy streets of Zona 15, its ninety-nine rooms stacked toward a rooftop that turns, slowly, over the whole valley below. The lobby sets the tone early: chandeliers overhead, a koi pond underfoot, and a hushed, minimalist lounge that feels closer to a private members' club than a stopover between meetings. By the time the lift opens onto the upper floors, the city has already started to shrink into a grid of lights and volcano silhouettes, and the hotel has made its case without saying a word.
We chose Vista Quince for the rare combination of a genuine wellness floor — sauna, steam room, massage and a fitness centre — and Central America's only rotating restaurant, both inside a hotel built at the scale of a proper city landmark rather than a boutique add-on. The rooftop infinity pool turns a business trip into something worth extending by a night, and rooms that run from minimalist doubles to a sixteenth-floor Presidential Suite mean the same address works for a one-night stopover and a two-week stay. It is the kind of hotel that does the unglamorous things — spa, security, service — as well as the glamorous one.
Zona 15 is one of Guatemala City's calmer addresses, a hillside residential district of gated streets and mountain views that sits a short drive from the boutiques, restaurants and cinemas of Cayalá in neighboring Zona 16, and from the embassies and corporate towers of Zona 10's business corridor. It is close enough to the airport to make an early departure painless, far enough from downtown's traffic to sleep well, and quiet enough at night that the rooftop pool and the turning restaurant feel like the loudest things in the neighborhood — in the best sense.

The room list reads like a small ladder rather than a single template. Deluxe doubles and studios cover the standard overnight, each with city views and the small conveniences — microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker — that make a business trip less transactional. The Junior Suite adds a proper fifty-square-metre living room to a queen bedroom, and the Master Suite Apartment goes further still, with a full kitchen, dining space and a second bedroom built for families or a stay that runs past a week. At the top, the Presidential Suite occupies the sixteenth floor on its own terms: a living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen alongside a master bedroom and a second VIP bedroom, both looking out over the valley.
The wellness floor is not an afterthought bolted onto a business hotel — it is built to be used mid-trip, not just at the end of one. A sauna and steam room sit alongside a dedicated massage service and a full fitness centre, and the rooftop pool runs year-round, heated against the highland evenings that can turn cool even in the dry season. Guests treat it as a genuine midweek reset: an hour by the pool before a dinner reservation at Restaurante Giratorio, or a sauna session after a late flight in. It is one of the few amenities floors in the capital built with as much intention as the rooms above it.
